About Alioune Dioum
Focused heavily on growth and sustainable progression, Alioune Dioum is a seasoned professional with over 20+ years of experience. To date, Alioune holds an extensive background involving, but not limited to, cross-functional construction management, project design and execution, building high-performing teams, and building healthy workplace environments that are as positive as they are productive. In addition, Alioune enjoys not just exceeding construction phases and client expectations, but doing so while simultaneously propelling various community initiatives forward.
Prior to construction management, Alioune began his career in engineering and architecture as a Licensed Civil/Structural California Professional Engineer. This later became the catalyst for Alioune to spend the next two decades as an Owner’s Representative in Project and Construction Management. Here, Alioune specialized in various delivery methods including design-bid-build, design-build, job order contracts, and at-risk project/construction management. During this time, Alioune also gained experience in all phases of capital project execution, from feasibility studies through construction close-out.
Today, Alioune has built a large inventory of experiences managing design and project approvals across the healthcare, educational, public safety, recreational, civic, commercial, and residential sectors. This, along with his exposure to capitalization and people-focused innovation, is what collectively strengthened his stance in project management. The more notable project involves managing the design and construction of the awarded El Cariso Gymnasium and Community Center project, becoming one of the first Los Angeles County projects to receive a LEED Gold certification.
Academically, Alioune holds a degree in Architectural Engineering as well as advanced studies in Architecture, and is respected for his proven construction management aptitudes that position clients to attain their unique versions of success. Furthermore, Alioune is a professional member of the Construction Management Association of America Southern California Chapter (CMAA), and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Overall, Alioune is an advocate that positive change starts by instilling meaningful impacts today, leads with integrity, and understands that the most beneficial outcomes stem from strong, shared-value teams.
Outside of work, Alioune spends his time fundraising to promote educational advancement for children in Sub-Saharan Africa, and enjoys art and jazz.
